The Ace of Wands — The Minor Arcana

The Ace of Wands is related to the Minor Arcana and represents the seeker’s choices and actions throughout the realization of his or her destiny.

The Wands represent the spark plugs of the Tarot and the spark of creativity and the birth of an idea.

The Wand Archetypes are oriented toward action, growth and the realization of dreams.

These archetypes are associated with new courses that will further the development of careers, new ventures, and creativity driven by a desire to move forward with no fear of making changes.

The Wands are also connected to the burning furnace of passion and sexuality within that seeks and desires to be loved.

The Aces are the “Controlling Cards” in my deck. The Ace of Wands controls your path and represents where you are headed, into a new beginning.

This card indicates a seed of action that is growing, and there are unformulated changes that you want to make to jump-start this new beginning. This is the time when you will feel like someone lit your action torch and gave you a thumbs up!

The word Arcana comes from the Latin word Arcanum, which represents a sacred secret or mystery that one must discover. The Lovers Card is related to the Major Arcana and signifies major life lessons you’ll learn on this path, that of making the right choice!

The secret paths of the Major Arcana represent the journey of the Fool, in which the Fool learns new lessons with every step of the way and overcomes obstacles and gains wisdom from lessons learned.

The Lovers — The Choice

The path of the Lovers represents making the right choice. The right choice represents the union of two people bonding together as one…

The Emperor — The Father

The Emperor represents the path of power, obedience and control and is the father and builder of structures and assumes command of his life, environment, body, temperament, instincts and affairs of his heart.

The Empress — The Mother

The Empress represents the path of giving birth to life. She is the mother of the Earth and goddess of fertility and desires to balance all relationships.

The High Priestess — The Whisperer

The High Priestess represents the path of intuition and meeting the Higher Self. The Higher Self is your intuitive guide that resides inside of you. The High Priestess is related to the zodiac sign of Cancer. The three astrology decans of Cancer describe the High Priestess. The Moon — The epidermal kaleidoscope of emotions that fluctuate during the Phases of the Moon. Pluto — Intuitive and the keeper of secrets. Neptune — What is hidden or invisible.

The path of the Magician represents the magic of possibilities, discipline and focus. The Magician is the charming negotiator with magical communication skills. His verbal eloquence makes him a persuasive speaker, salesperson or negotiator but also a deceptive trickster or bluffer when he uses his elocutionary gifts to accomplish darker goals.

The secret paths of the Major Arcana represent the journey of the Fool, in which the Fool learns new lessons with every step of the way and overcomes obstacles and gains wisdom from lessons learned.

The Fool — The New Beginning

The path of the Fool represents leaping into the unknown and learning new lessons on the way. The Fool’s Spirit craves a new experience, an adventure that he must embark upon regardless of the outcome. This urge Feels like an itch that must be scratched!

“Uranus is my ruler and symbolizes freedom and liberation and Saturn is my sub-ruler, symbolizing restrictions and lessons to be learned on my journey. Uranus feels like a seven year itch that must be scratched. Uranus makes me want to explore. This planet is a rebel with a cause. I am being sent on a new path because Uranus says change is inevitable!”
